At Wendhill Academy Timișoara , every educational event is designed as an experience that builds not only skills, but also character. The Calligraphy Competition organized within our school, held on January 24, 2026 , was a celebration of discipline, expressiveness and respect for handwriting - an essential skill that remains part of every child's identity.

The event brought together talented students, dedicated teachers, and involved parents, in a setting that highlighted concentration, patience, and attention to detail.

103 students from 33 schools - a competition of elegance and perseverance

The competition brought together 103 students from 33 schools in Timiș and Bihor counties , participants from grades 2, 3 and 4. The competition was structured around these age categories, giving each student the chance to demonstrate their progress and level of development specific to their school stage.

Participants demonstrated that handwriting can be an authentic form of personal expression, but also an exercise in self-control and refinement.

In a time when technology and the keyboard are becoming dominant, we have chosen to bring back to the forefront a profound and timeless gesture. Handwriting develops coordination, concentration and aesthetic sense, contributing to the formation of clear and organized thinking.

For the participating students, the competition represented:

an opportunity to test and capitalize on their skills;

an exercise in discipline and perseverance;

an experience that encourages respect for detail and a job well done.

Partnerships that support excellence

An important role in the success of the event was played by the support provided by our partners.

The official partner of the contest, Schneider Pen Romania , supported the competition by providing writing instruments for participants and by offering prizes to the winners, encouraging performance and passion for quality writing.

Also, the presence of Mrs. Alina Tina, founder of Calligraphy Studio cu Alina , brought added value to the event. The calligraphy workshop held as part of the competition offered the children inspiration and an artistic perspective on letters, transforming writing into an art form.

Education through tradition, training through involvement

The Calligraphy Contest at Wendhill Academy was not just a competition, but a complete educational endeavor. Through such initiatives, we aim to cultivate respect for tradition and demonstrate that authentic education harmoniously combines rigor with creativity.

At Wendhill Academy , we believe that education is about more than academic achievement. It is about developing well-rounded young people who are attentive to detail, able to appreciate beauty, and able to express their ideas with clarity and elegance.

We are glad that we were able to offer the children an experience that will remain in their memory and that will strengthen their confidence in their own abilities. The Calligraphy Competition is thus becoming a tradition that reflects the values of Wendhill Academy and our commitment to a meaningful education.
